Pet obesity is a growing concern and many older pets tend to be overweight due to a slower metabolism and being generally less active. The senior lifestage diets cater for this, making sure your pet gets everything it needs but without the unwanted calories.
Dental issues in older rabbits especially but also cats and dogs, will need to be kept an eye on. Rabbits teeth continuously grow and an older rabbit may need dental treatment if it cannot wear them down itself.
Owners are becoming increasingly aware of their pets nutritional needs. This is great news to us and even better news for the pets! Our pets become members of the family and their diet is becoming nearly as important as our own!
