Many people think that when the weather turns cold you don't have to flea treat your pets anymore. Unfortunately that isnt the case.
95% of a fleas population is present in your pets environment. They can lie dormant as a pupae for up to one year. When you turn your heating on this encourange the pupae to hatch into adult fleas. The warmer the environment, the faster the flea lifecycle is completed, sometimes as quickly as 7 days. With fleas laying up to 50 eggs a day at adulthood it can quickly become a problem.
We recommend treating your pets with a vet strenght spot on such as Frontline or Effipro. These products will also act like a magnet and attract fleas out of their environment onto the pet where they will become contaminated and die within 24 hours.
We also recommend using a good household flea spray with an Insect Growth Regulator to help break the lifecycle down. Please make sure no pets are left in the rooms while they're being treated with a household spray.
