Brushing is the most obvious option. There are pet specific pastes and brushes available including small finger brushes. You brush your pets teeth as you would your own, ideally every day but at least twice a week is recommended.
But what if your pet refuses?
Plaque Off - Our most popular and sucessful alternative to brushing. Plaque off is suitable for dogs and cats. It is a seaweed based powder that is added to the pets food once a day. It helps to break down existing plaque and helps freshen the breath. Plaque off is palatable. A small tub can last over 2 months depending on the size of your pet so is an economical way of providing dental care.
Anti-Plaque Rinse - This is a liquid that you add to your pets drinking water. It is designed to reduce plaque and dental bacteria. All you have to do is add one capfull to fresh drinking wayer every day. Its that simple.
Tooth Gel - Looks like a tooth paste but its different. Tooth Gel contains enzymes to work with the pets saliva to break down plaque. All you have to do is apply a thin line of tooth gel acros the teeth from back to front. Your pet will circulate the gel with their tongue.
There are a few other options available in store. Also, feeding a complete dry food will help keep teeth clean. If you would like further advice on dental care please pop into either store and ask a member of staff.
